{ Incendios en Canarias vía satélite }

Esta es la imagen vía satélite (Aqua, de NASA) de los dos grandes incendios activos en estos momentos en las Islas Canarias, obtenida a las 14:45 TU de hoy 30 jul 2007. Haciendo clic se puede ver ampliada. También se puede comparar con una imagen vía satélite obtenida días atrás en Ad Astra.

El incendio de la derecha, el de Gran Canaria, se declaró el viernes pasado. Fue provocado por un vigilante forestal -que fue quien avisó del comienzo- al que se le iba a acabar su contrato. En estos momentos ha afectado a 6500 hectáreas pobladas de pino canario. Hay varios núcleos urbanos desalojados y varias casas podrían haber sido ya pastos de las llamas. El incendio de la izquierda, en Tenerife, comenzó esta mañana y en pocas horas ha afectado también a varios miles de hectáreas. Los dos incendios están siendo de difícil control por las altas temperaturas (de más de 35° en las zonas altas de estas islas) y la racha de vientos de entre 60 y 70 km/h.

¿Sabeis lo mas vergonzoso de todo esto?
